It makes sure every mod you install, intake, exhaust, supercharger, or camshaft, delivers its full value.
At Ames Ford Performance, we offer both custom tuning and calibrated pre-loaded tunes, depending on the needs of the build.

Not all tuning is created equal. Here’s what to avoid:
Generic Mail-Order Tunes: Often overly rich or conservative, they leave power on the table and don’t consider your specific setup
Incorrect Fuel Maps: Running a 93 tune on 87 fuel? That’s a recipe for knock and engine damage
No Supporting Mods: A tune without proper airflow or cooling upgrades can lead to high IATs and performance loss
Locked ECUs: Some newer Ford models require unlock procedures or special tuning platforms, we handle that in-house
Poor Shifting Behavior: Especially on modern automatics, without proper tuning, your transmission won’t know how to handle the extra power
